It took a little time to get to know many people out here in Oconee County as we got settled in after a move from Woodstock, but I was SO excited to have some sessions scheduled locally with super sweet neighbors and a couple of families I had the pleasure of meeting through referrals and also thanks to the Nextdoor app (if you don’t know what this is and are trying to connect with people in a new area- I highly recommend this for personal and business connections!)
I scheduled a few last minute mini sessions over Thanksgiving Break and lucked out with some gorgeous weather and a beautiful location (thank you Piccadilly Farm !) I love visiting my Atlanta families, but I won’t lie- the two minute drive was a treat! These kids all were so sweet to work with and although we started off with clouds that morning, the sunshine broke through and we had some fun playing in the fields!

I love photographing siblings. Especially brothers. It’s so fun to watch how they interact and it never fails… when I ask them to give each other a hug, the silliness and joy in their relationship always comes out. It may be in the form of tackles and wrestling, but it’s always in good fun.

Mini sessions are popular this time of year, and I truly enjoy offering them, but I will always recommend full sessions as the best option. Not as a sales pitch, though they honestly are the better deal, but because mini sessions seem to be more about getting that holiday card photo with everyone posed and looking their best, where full sessions are typically more focused on capturing the genuine bonds, in between moments, and unique personalities (with everyone still looking their best, of course ;)). They typically allow for more time and opportunities for those to shine through.
Little ones, while they don’t usually last much more than an hour, tend to appreciate starting slow and I try to make my full sessions feel like a “walk in the park” for them. This little lady has come to know what to expect over the years with me, so she embraced it whole-heartedly and this might be one of my favorite full sessions with her and her family yet! Sooooo, I got a little carried away with this sneak peek…

Hey everyone! I hope you have had a great start to the 2017 school year. I haven’t been keeping up my blog in quite some time because life has been hectic- but ALL for great reasons! So– I decided it was time to start fresh with a new blog to go along with my new life!
Married and Moved:
In the past year…I got married, moved to Watkinsville (aka-near Athens, Ga.), blended families with an awesome guy and his sweet kids, obtained my Georgia real estate license, went to Hawaii (best trip ever), and got accepted to teach at Click Away 2018 on Amelia Island!! (info here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/click-away-2018-amelia-island-tickets-30881320862?aff=ameliaislandpresenter&afu=16370922861
So- while I’ve kept busy shooting, I’ve been slacking on touching base and wanted to reach out and remind you that I am still in the Atlanta and Woodstock areas frequently, so still shooting out your way!
*My name has changed to Lisa Schueneman, but my business will continue as Lisa Rappa Photography to avoid confusing everyone!
MINIS:
Thank you to all that participated in the October minis! I’ll see a few more of you in November. All slots are full, but I AM still scheduling weekday FULL sessions through December 15! If needed for holiday cards or gifts, please book a date prior to December 5th.
Thank you all for your continued support in my many ventures and personal life. I’m lucky to call many of you friends, not just clients and truly hope to keep seeing you as your children grow!
Much Love,
Lisa
